Stephen Ough has been involved in power skating since 1996 when he began running successful clinics under the name Ough's Power Skating. In his clinics he teaches:
Stephen believes in breaking down the details of the skating stride for skaters to understand the mechanics of what makes them faster and more efficient skaters.
Stephen Ough's experience dates back to 1975 when he played in the Quebec Major Junior League and was drafted by the Chicago Black Hawks (1977). He has coached at both the high school and the minor hockey league levels.
Stephen has since taken specialized training in power skating (Level 2) in Edmonton from Quantum Speed, whose instructors work directly with players in the NHL. He has also reached Level 6 in Skate Canada power skating instructor program. He completed his High Performance Coaching One training with Hockey Canada in the summer of 2013. He has completed Hockey Canada Power Skating and Skills 1, 2 and 3 and is working towards his Masters in Power Skating, Skills and Defence.
Stephen runs power skating, puck handling, defence, adult female power skating and overspeed training throughout the year. He also does individual training if desired.
